This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult) then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.

Responsibilities
* Provide high quality clinical psychology expertise and leadership across Community Mental Health Teams (CMHTs) in all sectors of Edinburgh and West Lothian, as well as the acute in-patient wards at the Royal Edinburgh Hospital and St John’s Hospital, West Lothian.
* Oversee operational management, including line management of psychology staff and financial elements, and contribute to strategic leadership.
* Provide leadership and strategic management within multi-professional teams, propose and implement policy and service development changes for the specialist psychological therapy service, and act as a highly specialist resource to the wider professional community within Lothian and nationally.
* Hold clinical governance responsibility for the delivery of psychological therapies across CMHTs and acute wards.
* Utilise high level research skills for audits, policy development, and service development as a requirement of the role.
