Location: HMP Aylesbury
Salary: £41,000 per year
We are seeking a dedicated fully qualified Electrician to join our team at HMP Aylesbury, a CATEGORY C & 18 plus male prison. Join a team that is more than just colleagues – we work MONDAY TO FRIDAY/SUNDAY as a supportive family, working together to create a safe environment. HMP Aylesbury functions like a self-contained town, requiring hundreds of staff to operate smoothly. As part of the Facilities Maintenance Team, your work impacts prisoners, staff, visitors, and the wider community.
You will work alongside experienced colleagues including Plumbers, Electricians, Carpenters, Painters, Cleaners, and Administrators, all dedicated to providing a safe and secure environment. Requirements include:
* Certificate in BS7671:2018 (18th edition)
* Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installation or Electrotechnical Services (City & Guilds/EAL), including NVQs and competency assessments (AM2/AM2S), e.g., 2367 or 2357
* Two years’ experience as a fully qualified electrician
* Experience with commercial or industrial electrical systems
* Knowledge of planned and preventive maintenance
* Good Health & Safety knowledge
* Strong organizational, time management, and people skills
