Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Abingdon-On-Thames for a Senior Design Engineer. The role involves spearheading innovative design projects, creating mechanical and product designs, utilizing advanced CAD tools, and collaborating on engineering solutions for various industries, including aerospace, automotive, and motorsport. You will work closely with a cross-functional team to develop and refine prototypes while ensuring quality and efficiency in project execution.
Qualifications
* Strong expertise in Design Engineering and Product Design with innovative problem-solving skills
* Proficiency in Mechanical Engineering and knowledge of Electrical Engineering principles
* Extensive experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools such as Catia V5/V6, fusion 360, FEA, CNC Programming. 3d printing tools.
* Ability to work effectively on-site in a collaborative environment, with previous experience in a similar advanced engineering setting
* Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or a related field is highly desirable
* Understanding of Composites, advanced manufacturing processes and familiarity with prototyping technologies is an advantage
* Lightweight design experience is an advantage.
