As our student numbers increase and we continue to diversify our programmes and portfolio, we are looking to recruit a Senior Assessments Officer to join our Assessments Office. This is a fantastic opportunity to enter a well-established and respected department. As our Senior Assessment Officer, you will be responsible for delivering high quality administration of all assessments for your designated service area which will consist of defined programme portfolios. You will manage 3 Assessment Officers ensuring their work meets the required standards and requirements of the University and our external bodies. You will have excellent leadership and interpersonal skills and feel comfortable leading and developing a small team of Assessment Officers. As our Senior Assessment Officer you will: Directly and via the colleagues you manage, deliver a high-quality assessment service through operational planning and delivery for your designated service area. Ensure your team maintains the student records systems and assessment data to provide accurate and timely reporting Lead the development of new or updated operational processes, training, and process reviews in line with the assessments requirements of the University Plan for the delivery of new programmes and subject areas. Engaging with senior academic colleagues to understand the new programmes Drive the ongoing identification, development and implementation of change and improvement initiatives including new systems, assessment regulations and standard operating procedures. We are looking for people who are/have: Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills Organised and thorough with a methodical approach Ability to plan own and others workloads Experience of working within a customer service environment operating at a Senior Administrative level Experience in a similar role within an educational environment would be desirable.
