Purchasing Manager – £45,000 to £55,000, Essex (with flexible working options), Full‑time | Permanent
The Role
Reporting into senior leadership, you will be responsible for shaping and delivering procurement strategy across several international locations. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure supply continuity, cost control, and operational performance.
Key responsibilities
* Develop and execute short‑ and long‑term sourcing strategies
* Negotiate agreements with suppliers, including pricing structures and commercial terms
* Build strong supplier relationships to ensure quality, service, and value
* Manage order flow and performance to drive on‑time delivery and reduce delays
* Partner with internal stakeholders across operations, sales, and finance
* Set and manage purchasing budgets in line with wider business objectives
* Oversee inventory levels and ensure alignment across multiple sites
* Implement quality standards for incoming materials and supply
* Identify and deliver cost‑saving and continuous improvement initiatives
