Your Role
As a Service Controller, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our customers receive top-notch service. Your responsibilities will include:
* Customer Engagement: Understand and respond to customer requests, prioritizing their needs and coordinating actions within agreed timescales.
* Resource Management: Allocate the right resources to meet customer needs efficiently while maximizing engineer productivity.
* Job Oversight: Manage job progress, ensuring timely resolutions that benefit both Finning and our customers.
* Work Order Management: Open and close work orders accurately to maximize billing accuracy and timeliness.
* Team Leadership: Directly manage and mentor a team of 4-8 engineers, addressing performance issues and conducting regular one-on-ones.
* Process Adherence: Ensure compliance with service processes to deliver extraordinary customer service consistently.
What We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you should possess the following skills and qualifications:
* Customer Service Skills: Ability to develop strong relationships with customers.
* Planning and Organizing: Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
* Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy in all tasks.
* Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
* Technical Proficiency: Good IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office.
* Engineering Knowledge: Foundational understanding of engineering principles and a minimum of 3 years in a technical or mechanical engineering role.
Working Conditions
This is a permanent, office-based position with flexible working hours between 7 AM and 6 PM on weekdays, with potential Saturday shifts as needed. You will be responsible for planning, organizing, and dispatching approximately 100 work orders monthly, averaging around £300k in value.
