In the context of the University’s Strategy 2030 and Research and Knowledge Exchange Plan 2030, LJMU currently has 3 Pan-University Research Institutes (PURI): the Forensic Research Institute (FORRI), Institute of Health Research (IHR) and Liverpool Research Institute for Climate and Sustainability (LiRICS). The post is designed to develop a joint PURI research culture strategy with measurable KPIs, an RCO post cost recovery plan, and a biennial research culture evaluation report.
The RCO will be based in Research and Innovation Services and liaise with all PURI Directors.
The RCO will improve access to and participation in PURI research, whilst encouraging collaboration and open research practices, through the organisation of PURI leadership skills events across all career stages. You will create routes for knowledge exchange with industry, NGOs, SMEs and local government through stakeholder events and deliver new approaches to public dialogue and community-led research through open access events. You will also work enhance research integrity through administering an Early Career Researcher Forum and raise the international profile of the PURIs by supporting members to host national/international conferences at LJMU.
