Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a global market leader as an Account Manager, developing and managing the existing install base of clients through relationship building and customer face time, whilst promoting products and solutions from across the Emerson Measurement Solutions instrumentation portfolio for the North West of the UK.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
1. Sales Targets and Forecasting
2. Own and deliver the budget and target for assigned customer accounts.
3. Increase market share with targeted competitor displacement, building customer relationships to grow loyalty within the existing accounts.
4. Forecast and maintain opportunity funnel updating business planning tools (CRM).
5. Identify, develop and lead application solutions.
Team Collaboration
1. Collaborate with existing instrument sales teams relationships to ensure complete account coverage and knowledge share.
2. Maintain sales account and value creation plans to generate new opportunities.
3. Collaborate with the Marketing Team to ensure alignment of messaging and needs.
Market and Sales Strategy Execution
1. Develop and maintain a solid understanding of available market and business.
2. Understand customers' own strategy and overall industry trends, legislation drivers and business needs.
3. Proactively deploy sales growth account plans/initiatives to ensure we remain the supplier of first choice.
Customer Engagement
1. Identify new contacts and actively engage with existing customers by promoting unique product features and deploying best sales practices, accompanied with technical knowledge.
2. Build effective account relationships to become the trusted advisor within accounts.
3. Utilise key account management skills to maximise effectiveness and customer facing selling activities.
Who you are:
Join Emerson as an Account Manager for our Measurement Solutions business and make a significant impact on growing opportunities within our customer install base. We're interested in speaking with experienced sales professionals who are motivated by success and have a strong customer focus.
For this role you will need:
* Experience of direct consultative sales in a B2B environment.
* Proven track record of securing new business with existing customers.
* Experience in developing long-term relationships with external customers.
* Ability to develop successful cross-functional internal relationships within a matrix organisation.
* Excellent presentation and communication skills.
* Full clean driving license with the ability to travel to customer sites to fulfill duties of the role (approx. 3-4 days a week).
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
* Experience operating within the Process Automation Industry (advantageous).
* Educated to degree or equivalent in an Engineering discipline.
* Technical expertise not required but an appreciation and ability to understand product applications is essential.
