Solihull Council are seeking an experienced Social Worker to join our Safeguarding Team, working across Child in Need (CIN), Child Protection (CP), and Court proceedings. This is a dynamic and rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children and families.
Your new role
You will be responsible for managing a manageable caseload, conducting assessments, developing and reviewing care plans, and preparing detailed reports for statutory reviews, child protection conferences, panels, and court.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality social work services to children and families in line with the Children Act and other relevant legislation.
Undertake assessments and develop action plans based on identified needs.
Work collaboratively with families, professionals, and partner agencies.
Maintain accurate records and provide reports for statutory processes.
Participate in duty rota every 5 weeks (1-2 days frontline work)What you'll need to succeed
Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
Recent experience in Child in Need, Child Protection, and Courtwork (we are open to candidates with strong experience in one or two of these areas).
Strong understanding of relevant legislation, particularly the Children Act.
Must be a car user with the ability to travel across locations.
