THE ROLE
Reporting to an Engineering Lead within the Review & Acceptance Branch, you will be contributing to the review and acceptance of engineering queries raised by the site Contractor on the electrical scope.
Your role will be focused on the electrical discipline but will be interfaced with other disciplines and with several parties, such the site Contractors (composed of main suppliers and sub-suppliers), Construction teams, Quality teams, Project Management teams, or Design teams (embedded within the organisation on site, or in back office).
As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for the following activities:
* Responding to General Queries, Non-Conformances, Change Requests, and Exemption Requests originating from the MEH Contractor on site, with the support of the Responsible Designer or site Experts when needed.
* Provide adequate oversight to ensure the Nuclear Safety and Environmental Regulation requirements are met.
* Challenge design decisions so that engineering and design align with the project strategy.
* Assist in coordinating support from other external organisations.
* Contribute to the resolution and closure of Open Points.
* Assess technical risk and subsequently address this risk.
* Maintain a strong relationship with Responsible Designer.
* Report operationally to an Engineering Lead.

This experience will give you the opportunity to move on to other projects in the medium term: you will tackle varied but complementary projects, studies and technical topics. Your understanding of the technical and environmental challenges will allow you to take on complex and critical transversal studies.
REQUIRED SKILLS
* Experience of working on an EPR project, operating plant or on an industrial site.
* Experience in electrical design, installation and/or commissioning.
* Experience applying multi-disciplinary technical knowledge within the nuclear industry.
* Knowledge of the construction/installation industry.
* Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation including CDM and Nuclear Site License requirements.
* Experience in the understanding of welding engineering.
* Ability to influence a diverse range of stakeholders, particularly those in a site environment.
* Ability to work independently, be proactive, report on and escalate relevant issues.
