Job Title – Senior Payroll Supervisor

Job Location – Co. Fermanagh

Salary – Based on Experience

Role Overview:

Our client based in Co. Fermanagh are looking for an experienced Senior Payroll Supervisor to join their team.

You will be overseeing end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring accuracy, legislative compliance (e.g., HMRC/tax), and timely salary payments for staff.

Key responsibilities include mentoring junior staff, managing system upgrades, reconciling data, and liaising with HR/finance, requiring strong analytical skills and expert proficiency in payroll software.

Key Responsibilities:

* Supervise and support payroll staff, providing guidance and training where necessary.
* Review and approval of payroll calculations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of payments.
* Oversee maintenance of payroll records and systems, ensuring confidentiality and data integrity.
* Resolve payroll discrepancies and address employee queries in a professional and timely manner.
* Ensure compliance with statutory obligations (PAYE, NIC etc) including accurate, timely reporting and payment to HMRC and Revenue.
* Stay up to date with changes in payroll legislation and implement necessary updates to procedures.
* Oversee and fulfil obligations related to the organisation’s pension schemes including enrolment, record maintenance, processing and payment of contributions to scheme administrators.
* Prepare payroll reports and assist with month-end and year-end processes including liaising with internal and external auditors.
* Co-ordinate with HR and Finance to ensure seamless data flow and compliance.
* Support payroll system development and direct system testing.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

* Experience in payroll administration, with prior supervisory or team lead experience strongly preferred.
* Thorough understanding of payroll system and processes, relevant legislations and statutory obligations (NI and ROI jurisdictions).
* Proficient in the use of payroll software and Microsoft Office applications (knowledge of Mega Pay and/or SAP SuccessFactors desirable).
* Excellent organisational and time management skills as well as keen attention to detail.
* Ability to manage confidential employee and company information with integrity.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
