Commercial Property Surveyor

Our client, an independent commercial property consultancy and chartered surveying practice, is seeking a Commercial Property Surveyor who wants to broaden their experience and progress towards a senior, influential role. This is an opportunity to move beyond a narrow remit into a genuinely varied position across agency (sales and lettings), valuations, landlord & tenant and property management, with a clear path to shaping how the business grow.
About our client
Our client are a well‑established, RICS‑regulated commercial property agency and general practice surveying firm based in central Reigate. They advise on sales, lettings, and lease renewals, for all types of commercial property across Surrey and South London.
The opportunity
This role is ideal for a surveyor or commercial agent with around 3–5 years’ experience who is ready to step up into more responsibility, breadth and client ownership. You will work closely with a senior director, gaining further experience in this broad role, with potential to contribute to both strategy and business development. There's a clear route to a senior position, and commission available to reward your success in growing the practice.
In this role you will:
* Lead and support on commercial sales and lettings instructions, from inspection and marketing through to negotiation and completion.
* Handle and assist with rent reviews and lease renewals across retail, hospitality, office and industrial premises.
* Contribute to valuations, landlord & tenant advice and property investment work.
* Support commercial and residential property management activities, including inspections, tenant liaison and lease/tenancy matters.
* Undertake market research and analysis to inform investment and asset management decisions.
* Build strong, long‑term client relationships and become a trusted adviser.
As you develop, you will be encouraged to:
* Take ownership of key instructions and client accounts.
* Help grow the commercial agency side of the business.
* Contribute to business planning, marketing and service development, giving you real influence over company direction.
About you
Our client are looking for a motivated, client‑facing property professional who wants to progress their career and broaden their skill set. The ideal candidate will have:
* Around 3–5 years’ experience in commercial property (agency, valuation, landlord & tenant and/or management).
* Strong communication, negotiation and report‑writing skills, with high attention to detail.
* A proactive, commercial mindset and confidence dealing directly with clients.
* The ability to manage their own workload while contributing to a small, collaborative team.
* An interest in, or existing progress towards, RICS qualification (APC support is available), though this is not essential.

A degree in Real Estate, Property Management or a related discipline, and knowledge of the Surrey or South London commercial markets, would be advantageous but not essential.
