About the Role
We are a growing high street practice seeking a motivated Practice Assistant to support both our accounting and marketing functions. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong organisational skills who wants to gain experience in professional practice while working flexibly.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting Support
* Assist with bookkeeping and data entry.
* Prepare invoices, receipts, and expense records.
* Support client record management and filing.
* Help with preparation of tax/accounting documents under supervision.
Marketing Support
* Assist in creating and scheduling social media posts (LinkedIn, Facebook).
* Help prepare marketing materials, newsletters, and website updates.
* Contribute ideas to promote the practice locally and online.
* Maintain client contact lists and assist with email campaigns.
General Office Support
* Answer phones and respond to client enquiries.
* Maintain organised digital and paper filing systems.
* Provide ad hoc admin support to the practice lead.
Experience & Skills Required
* Previous experience in office administration, bookkeeping, or marketing (at least 1 year preferred).
* Basic knowledge of accounting software (e.g. Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage) is desirable.
* Familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing tools (Canva, Mailchimp, or similar).
* Strong IT skills (MS Office or Google Workspace).
* Excellent organisational and communication skills.
* Ability to work independently, manage time, and prioritise tasks.

This role would suit someone studying towards or with interest in accounting, finance, or marketing, or an experienced administrator looking for flexible part-time work.
Job Types: Part-time, Temporary
Pay: £12.21-£13.00 per hour
Expected hours: 12 per week
