Description

Job Title: Director, Growth & Structured Finance

Location: Leeds, Manchester, Birmingham or Edinburgh

Hours: Full-time

Working Pattern: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our above office sites. Colleagues with disabilities can be supported with workplace adjustments including hybrid working expectations in line with our Flexibility Works policy.

What you’ll be doing:

This is an opportunity to lead the delivery of complex financing solutions to SME and Mid-Market clients, helping businesses grow and succeed across the UK.

As a Director in our Growth & Structured Finance team, you’ll originate and structure tailored funding solutions, supporting transactions such as acquisitions, MBOs and growth capital. You’ll play a key role in winning new business, leading deals end-to-end, and building lasting relationships across the corporate finance ecosystem.

You’ll work closely with Credit Risk and Product teams to deliver high-quality, bespoke lending structures, while also supporting colleagues across the SME and Mid-Market coverage businesses and contributing to the development of our broader market proposition.

Why join us?

We’re on an exciting journey to transform our Group and the way we’re shaping finance for good. We’re focusing on the future, investing in our technologies, workplaces, and colleagues to make our Group a great place for everyone, make change happen and challenge the status quo. Sound like you?

What we’re looking for:

1. 5+ years’ experience in corporate finance, with a strong background in cashflow lending, debt origination and structuring
2. Strong financial analysis and credit assessment capability, including experience delivering complex or leveraged transactions
3. 5+ years’ experience working across SME and Mid-Market client segments
4. Ability to build and maintain senior stakeholder relationships, both internally and externally
5. Established network within the corporate finance, debt advisory and professional communities

And any experience of these would be great:

6. Recognised accountancy or finance qualification

We know that great talent comes from many backgrounds. Whilst this advert may reference specific experience, we recognise that skills are developed in different ways, so if you have relevant, transferable experience, we encourage you to apply.

This is a place for you:

Our ambition is to be the leading UK business for diversity, equity and inclusion supporting our customers, colleagues and communities, and we’re committed to creating an environment in which everyone can thrive, learn and develop.

We were one of the first major organisations to set goals on diversity in senior roles, create a menopause health package, and a dedicated Working with Cancer Initiative.

We offer reasonable workplace adjustments for colleagues with disabilities, including flexibility in office attendance, location and working patterns. And, as a Disability Confident Leader, we guarantee interviews for a fair and proportionate number of applicants who meet the minimum criteria for the role with a disability, long-term health or neurodivergent condition through the Disability Confident Scheme.

We provide reasonable adjustments throughout the recruitment process to reduce or remove barriers. Just let us know what you need.

We also offer a wide-ranging benefits package, which includes:

7. A generous pension contribution of up to 15%
8. An annual performance-related bonus
9. Share schemes including free shares
10. Benefits you can adapt to your lifestyle, such as discounted shopping
11. 30 days’ holiday, with bank holidays on top
12. A range of wellbeing initiatives and generous parental leave policies
