Hours
37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8:30-4:30
Contract
Permanent (Term‑Time only or flexibility around full‑time contract (52 weeks) can be discussed based on your personal circumstances)
Role Overview
We are looking for a Speech and Language Therapist to join our in‑house clinical team at Heath Farm College and Medway Green School. Working collaboratively with the education team, you will deliver bespoke Speech and Language Therapy assessment and intervention to pupils who may have experienced developmental trauma, be neuro‑divergent or have SEMH needs. You will work within the standards provided in the OFG Speech and Language Therapy Ways of Working, which guide your practice within an education setting and clarify your roles and responsibilities, while taking into account the requirements of your governing and professional bodies. You will hold a Speech and Language Therapy caseload, with full support from a designated clinical supervisor and Lead Clinician, and contribute to staff training and consultation as required.

Essential Criteria
* Speech and Language Therapy BSc Hons Degree
* HCPC registered and registered with the RCSLT
* Relevant experience engaging with individuals presenting with complex and diverse communication profiles
* Knowledge of neuro‑diversity and trauma‑informed practice
* Experience of multi‑disciplinary working in a range of settings
* Experience communicating with families, relatives and carers
* Interest in developing knowledge and skills across different areas of SA‑LT practice
* Good relationship‑building, analytical and judgement skills
* Good communication skills (oral and written)
* Good time management and organisational skills
* Competent in core areas of SA‑LT practice and clear understanding of RCSLT Communication Standards
* Knowledge of different SA‑LT assessment tools, intervention types, and support plan formulation
* Knowledge of legislation and its implications for both clinical practice and professional management
* Ability to work collaboratively in a multi‑disciplinary team
* Willingness to attend training and pursue further qualifications relevant to the client group
Desirable
* Understanding of how sensory and motor differences may impact communication strengths and difficulties
* Evidence of understanding the relationship between arousal levels and communication
