Salary: £22,182 – £26,275 per annum (pro‑rated for part‑time hours)
Job Summary
Provide specialist physiotherapy assessment and management for adults with life‑limiting illnesses in an adult hospice setting.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct specialist physiotherapy assessments and design management programmes for complex palliative care patients.
* Deliver one‑to‑one appointments and group sessions in ward, community and hospice settings.
* Maintain accurate NHS/hippoc clinical records and use iCare.
* Contribute to service development, audit, quality assurance and clinical governance.
* Support and mentor physiotherapy students and other therapy staff.
* Represent the physiotherapy team in multidisciplinary meetings and external networks.
* Adopt professional and legal responsibilities, including confidentiality and data protection.
Qualifications
* Diploma or degree in physiotherapy.
* Registered with the Healthcare Professionals Council (HCPC).
* Evidence of CPD and relevant specialist education.
* Registered Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (desirable).
Experience
* Broad physiotherapy experience at band 6 level.
* Experience managing complex palliative care patients.
* Experience of community physiotherapy and teaching/facilitating students (desirable).
* Understanding of risk management and clinical governance.
Skills & Knowledge
* Excellent communication and professional rapport with patients and teams.
* Ability to promote multi‑professional teamwork and provide education.
* Proactive and flexible approach to workload and organisational change.
* Computer skills and knowledge of NHS information systems.
* Leadership, supervision and mentoring capabilities.
