DurhamLearn and DurhamEnable work in partnership to deliver Supported Internships for young people aged 18–24 with an Education, Health & Care Plan (EHCP). With increased enrolment for 2025/26 — now supporting 13 interns — it’s an exciting time to come on board! What’s the role about? As a Job Coach Assistant, you’ll play a key role in helping Supported Interns gain the skills and confidence they need to succeed in paid employment. Working across local workplaces and communities, you’ll: Deliver hands-on, in-work support to interns within their placement. Contribute to support plans that help interns grow, learn and shine in real work environments. Build positive, effective relationships with interns, families, employers, and partner services. Work closely with Job Coaches and the In-Work Support & Training Officer to make each placement a success. No two days are the same — this is a role where you can truly make a difference. What will I need? We’re looking for someone with: Experience supporting people in education, care, community, voluntary or employment settings. An understanding of social inclusion and the social model of disability. Good organisational skills, with experience recording and reporting information. A Level 2 qualification in a relevant area (e.g., health & social care, learning support, mentoring, IAG) OR significant experience in supported employment.
