Welders Wanted – TIG, STICK & Sub Arc Precision Engineering | Nuclear, Power & Petrochemical Sectors North Birmingham / Walsall / Wolverhampton area Day & Night shifts available Competitive rates shift allowance EMBS Engineering is working with a respected precision engineering company that specialises in the manufacture of high-integrity components to the Nuclear, Power and Petrochemical industries, located just outside of Willenhall, Bloxwich area. Commutable from Wednesbury, Wolverhampton, Walsall, Brownhills, Lichfield, Cannock, Erdington, Little Aston and surrounding areas. Our client is seeking experienced TIG, STICK or Sub Arc Welders to join their existing skilled team. You will be working on critical components such as pressure vessels, plant equipment and various pipework, all manufactured to ASME standards. This is a hands-on, technical role where quality is paramount. You’ll be welding parts with material thicknesses ranging from 1mm to 300mm, and diameters from 10mm up to 1000mm, primarily focusing on pipe-to-pipe welding, though pipe-to-plate and plate-to-plate may also be required. What's in it for you? * Stability: Permanent position * Competitive rate: Up to £18.50 per hour shift allowance where applicable * Shifts: Days or Nights available * OTE including shift allowance - £24.50 per hour * Day Shift: Mon – Thur 8am – 4.30pm, Fri 8am – 1.30pm * Night Shift: Mon – Thur 5.30pm – 3.30am * Overtime available at premium rates Key Welding Types: * Butt and branch welding * Welding to X-ray / NDT inspection standards * Positional welds (6G) – advantageous What We're Looking For: * Proven experience with TIG, STICK or Sub Arc processes * Previous or current welding codings/qualifications preferred * Experience working to high integrity inspection standards * Confident working with a wide range of materials and geometries * Ability to weld pipe to pipe, with knowledge of plate work also * Capable of performing positional welds, ideally 6G would be advantageous, but not essential This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a highly specialised operation, where your skill, precision and experience will be valued and rewarded.
