Job Description
* Financial Strategy & Planning - Develop and implement financial strategies, budgeting, and forecasting to support business growth.
* Financial Reporting & Compliance - Ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
* Cost Control & Profitability Analysis - Monitor expenses, analyse cost structures, and identify opportunities to improve financial performance.
* Risk Management & Internal Controls - Establish and maintain strong internal controls to mitigate financial risks.
* Cash Flow & Working Capital Management - Oversee cash flow, manage working capital, and ensure financial stability.
* Business Partnering - Collaborate with senior management and operational teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
* Audit & Tax Compliance - Coordinate with external auditors, manage tax filings, and ensure adherence to financial policies.
* Team Leadership & Development - Manage and mentor finance teams, fostering professional growth and efficiency.
The Successful Applicant
* Qualified or QBE accountant
* Manufacturing or construction experience
* Strong systems knowledge, ideally Sage
* Ambition to grow and develop into an FD role
* Team management & leadership experience
What's on Offer
* Salary circa £60,000-£80,000 dependent on experience
* Flexible start & finish times
* Ideally this will be 100% office based
* Quick succession to FD role
