This role offers a fantastic opportunity for someone who has recently completed college or a computing course and is eager to begin a career in software development. Valuable hands-on experience will be gained by working alongside experienced developers on real-world projects while working towards a recognised qualification. In this role, involvement includes writing code, testing software, and supporting the development of business-critical applications. Skills will be developed in key areas such as programming languages, database management, and software lifecycle processes. This apprenticeship provides a supportive learning environment to grow technical abilities and professional confidence, setting up the apprentice for future success in the tech industry. In this role, youll work towards your Level 4 Software Development qualification, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships. A Typical Day in the Job: Assist in designing, developing, and maintaining software applications and features. Write, test, and debug code in languages such as Python, Java, C#, or JavaScript. Use version control systems (e.g., Git) to manage and track code changes. Participate in team meetings, planning sessions, and daily stand-ups. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues under supervision. Support software testing, deployment, and documentation processes. Research and learn new tools, frameworks, and technologies as required. Collaborate with developers, QA, and other cross-functional teams to deliver projects. Salary, Hours & Benefits: Salary: £18,000 - £20,000 Hours: Monday Thursday 9:00 AM 5:00 PM Early Finish Friday- 9:00 AM 4:30 PM Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge: Recently completed college or equivalent education. Previous customer service experience (preferred but not essential). A willingness to learn and develop new skills. Confident and clear communicator. Comfortable answering and speaking on the phone.
