We’re looking for a skilled Facilities Engineer (Electrical Bias) to play a key part in keeping our site running safely, reliably, and to the high standards we’ve built our reputation on. You’ll be central in maintaining site infrastructure and manufacturing equipment, combining planned maintenance, electrical fault-finding, and practical improvement work. Your contribution will help ensure a safe, compliant and efficient working environment that enables the company to maintain high production standards. AM shift: Monday 6:00am-2:00pm, Thursday 6:00am-2:00pm, Friday 6:00am-11:00am
PM shift: Monday 2:00pm-10:00pm, Thursday 2:00pm-10:00pm, Friday 2:00pm-10:00pm

Key Responsibilities
* Carry out routine scheduled maintenance work and respond to equipment faults.
* Repair electrical systems to ensure compliance with Health and Safety standards.
* Fit new parts and ensure equipment operates correctly.
* Carry out quality inspections on jobs.
* Liaise with client departments, customers, and other engineering and production associates.
* Arrange specialist procurement of fixtures, fittings or components.
* Manage sub‑contractors on site, ensuring safe working systems.
* Maintain fixed wiring, testing defect rectification.
* Control maintenance tools, stores and equipment.
* Deal with emergencies, unplanned problems and repairs.
* Coordinate projects including equipment replacement, machine moves and installations, and small‑scale construction projects (on‑site training and coaching provided).
Essential Experience and Qualifications
* Recognised time‑served engineering apprenticeship, with at least 2 years’ experience in a facilities or maintenance role.
* Newly qualified apprentices and Ex‑Forces applicants will be considered.
* Minimum ONC or City & Guilds level 3 or equivalent (Technical Certificate, etc.).
* 18th Edition, IPAF and Testing and Inspection preferred but not essential.
Required Skills
* Team working skills to collaborate and liaise with people at all levels.
* Good diagnostic and problem‑solving skills.
* Knowledge of maintenance policies, procedures, and terms with an emphasis on Health and Safety requirements.
* Strong project management with a focus on improving reliability.
* Ability to undertake a high level of activity under a variety of conditions and constraints.
* Knowledge of appropriate office software applications.
* Good organisational and time‑management skills.
* Understanding of engineering drawings and principles.
