Join our Vodafone Business Technology Solutions team, where we support businesses of all sizes with world-class technology solutions. We design and develop our Fixed Line solutions, drive efficiency through automation and AI, and implement it all directly with our customers.
What you’ll do
As a Network Operations Engineer, you will provide a professional field engineering service for fault fix and project delivery for both copper and fibre cable repair work forming part of multiple contract activities across Scottish Power’s strategic telecommunications network in Scotland and the interfaces into the SSEN, National Grid telecoms networks on behalf of Vodafone’s continued support contract.
You will be working alongside our civil engineering partner on emergency repair, planned works and projects, to maintain & achieve the benefits expected by both client and by Vodafone.
You will provide timely updates, by completing reports taken from testing of equipment & uploading of results to locations on SPEN’s data locations.
Who you are
1. Exceptional organisation skills.
2. Assure/Maintenance activity experience.
3. Copper & Fibre cable testing and repair skills including pilot cables.
4. Experience of working with civil contractors and excavations.
5. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
6. Able to adapt to a fast-paced environment.
7. Ability to work to the applicable quality standards.
8. Experience in maintaining monitoring and troubleshooting networks and systems.
9. A full clean UK Drivers license.
