CNC Machine Setter – Days & Nights

We are currently recruiting for a CNC Machine Setter (Days & Nights) to join our manufacturing team at our Consett site. This role is for an experience Machinest who already has hands-on experience in CNC milling experience, precision-driven manufacturing environment.
💷 £51,180 per annum (including 28.5% shift allowance)
Working Hours: 40.25 hours / 4 Shift Pattern / Days = 06:00-18:00/ Nights = 18:00-06:00

Purpose of role and key accountabilities:
To produce precision components from drawings using CNC machines.
* Produce accurate, high-quality components with maximum efficiency
* Competently set and operate CNC machines – Mazak in particular
* Work to tight tolerances and check your own work meets the required standard
* To work on your own initiative and understand all aspects of the manufacturing process
* Quality check all finished jobs
* Clean and maintain CNC machine and all associated equipment and machine area.
Core skills/attributes needed:
* Fully skilled time served CNC setter/operator (certificates required)
* Experience of Mazak milling machines – 3, 4 & 5 Axis
* Able to interpret engineering drawings
* Aerospace experience
* Able to use a wide variety of measuring equipment
* Heindenhaim, Mazatrol and Fanuc experience
* Computer literate
* Be able to concentrate to enable quality finished components
* Ability to pay attention to detail
* Able to apply good practical skills
* Ability to follow written instructions
* Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
* Able to work safely
* Able to undertake shift working, including nights
* Excellent hand-to-eye coordination
* Normal colour vision
