Job Title: Safeguarding Social Worker
Salary: £33,699 to £41,771 per annum, plus £3,000 market forces*
Hours: 37 Hours per Week
Location: Wildwood Drive, Worcester / Homeworking
Team: Safeguarding Early Response Team
Status: Permanent
The Role
As a Safeguarding Social Worker, you’ll play a vital role in promoting the wellbeing and safety of adults across Worcestershire. You’ll be responsible for making decisions on whether the S42(1) Care Act 2014 criteria are met, undertaking low-risk safeguarding enquiries, and supporting individuals to manage risks through strength-based approaches. You’ll also support colleagues, contribute to reflective practice, and work collaboratively with professionals across health, social care, and community services.
This is a role where your expertise and autonomy will be valued. You’ll apply legislation such as the Care Act 2014 and Mental Capacity Act 2005 to ensure best practice and uphold the principles of Making Safeguarding Personal.

What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking an experienced and confident social worker who brings:
* Significant experience in adult social care and safeguarding
* Strong knowledge of legislation, safeguarding principles, and strength-based practice
* Excellent communication, partnership working, and conflict resolution skills
* A professional qualification in social work and current Social Work England registration
About the Team
You’ll be part of a dedicated safeguarding team within Adult Social Care, working closely with the Safeguarding Early Response Manager and other safeguarding professionals. Desirable qualifications include post-qualifying awards and Practice Educator Level 2.
