Nursing Assistant - Dermatology
We are looking for Nursing Assistants to support our Dermatology Unit across the WTWA sites (Withington, Trafford, Wythenshawe and Altrincham). The position requires cross‑site working and spans Monday to Friday with some flexibility.
This role is a Band 2/3. Candidates who can demonstrate experience to commence as Band 3 must provide relevant documentation.

Main duties of the job
* Support out‑patient clinics
* Assist with minor surgery alongside a registered nurse
* Carry out photography for the new skin analytics service (training provided)
* Maintain computer literacy and use of clinical documentation systems
* Communicate effectively with patients, relatives, visitors, colleagues and the multi‑disciplinary team
Job details
Hours: Monday to Friday; some flexibility may be considered.
Band: 2/3 (with potential for Band 3 with evidence of appropriate experience).
Person Specification
Qualifications
* National Care Certificate or willingness to complete within 12 weeks of starting
* Level 2 Apprenticeship in healthcare OR equivalent knowledge and skill through the Trust Clinical Support Worker Development Programme
* On completion of the Programme, evidence of clinical knowledge and competency to move to Band 3 AfC
* Functional Skills Level 1 Maths and English or equivalent education
Knowledge
* Experience in a healthcare or social care setting or a service industry requiring people contact
* Experience working within a health care environment
Skills
* Good written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to work well in a team
* Ability to carry out well‑defined routine tasks
* Ability to work on own initiative, following direction and supervision of a registered healthcare practitioner
* Ability to relate well with patients, relatives, visitors, colleagues and wider Trust staff
Disclosure and Barring Service Check
