Teaching Personnel are currently working with a secondary school based in Stoke-on-Trent who are looking for a full-time Teaching Assistant to join their SEN department in January.
About the role:
* Start-date: 5th January
* Ongoing until the end of the academic year
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work with pupils who require additional learning/behavioural support. This will include 1-1 and small group intervention. You will work closely with Teachers to adapt the curriculum and ensure the student is able to make consistent progress. You will also be working with the students to improve social and emotional regulation, improving their overall school experience.
What we’re looking for:
* Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable
* Experience working with young people is essential
* Experience with SEN (in any setting)
* A calm, empathetic and patient approach to behaviour management
