Overview

To deliver on our corporate purpose of making wonderful sound a part of everyone’s life, WS Audiology is looking for a new Business Development Manager to provide comprehensive account management and business development services to independent businesses. The role focuses on maximising sales opportunities for Widex and Signia hearing aids across all customer segments.


What you will do

You will be responsible for the Midlands and Wales territory, generating sales income and providing profitable management of customer accounts within the WSA UK Independent customer base within a predefined geographical area. You will also conduct product training sessions and offer guidance on the product portfolio, leveraging your audiology expertise.

* Provide an overall account management and business development service to accounts and achieve agreed personal targets in line with company targets and KPIs, maximising sales opportunities with all customers and proactively developing new business opportunities with existing accounts.
* Proactively target prospective new accounts and build closer relationships between the Company, its existing customers and prospective customers.
* Develop and maintain marketing plans for independent customers, working with Marketing to create added value.
* Achieve agreed WSA sales targets and develop detailed account management plans, planning, visiting, and meeting buyers regularly and identifying non-buying customers.
* Stay up to date with market changes and product knowledge (audiological detail) and ensure independent customers are aware of all products available.
* Maintain and enhance sales knowledge using sales tools and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
* Identify sales opportunities, maximise them, and ensure visits are planned and reported using the CRM system; manage the database for accuracy and segmentation.
* Meet customers’ training requirements to increase product awareness through targeted segmentation and within agreed timelines.
* Manage, review and monitor independent customer pricing, including ASP, credit returns and product mix across WSA brands.
* Represent the company at trade exhibitions and events and project the Company as a market leader and professional organisation.
* Report weekly to the Independent Head of Sales on sales activities and submit monthly formal reports on activities by customer and geography.
* Identify and report customer and competitor information to improve market intelligence.
* Liaise with Finance to ensure accounts operate within trading terms.
* Identify potential sales opportunities with independent accounts in hearing instruments and related products (batteries, accessories, audiological equipment and accessories).


What you bring

We are looking for a proactive sales manager who can develop and execute marketing plans for independent customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in audiology, combined with excellent stakeholder management skills.


Experience

* A recognised sales qualification or currently working towards one, demonstrating a commitment to ongoing professional development.
* Ability to communicate complex technical product information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
* A higher-level educational qualification, preferably in a relevant discipline.
* Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a healthcare sales role or similar.
* Exceptional interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
* Well-developed negotiation skills with a strategic, consultative approach.
* Strong business acumen with a results-driven mindset and ability to analyse market trends.
* Excellent self-management, prioritisation, and ability to implement sales strategies.
* Travel is required, including overnight stays, with attendance at customer and industry events as well as internal company events in the UK.
* Expectation of 4 days minimum per week in the field.
