Data Centre Engineer x3 - Global Big Four Tech Client
We are supporting a major hyperscale data center in London in hiring two Data Center Technical Operations Engineers (DCEO) to help manage increasing operational demand and a series of critical parallel projects.
This role sits within the DCEO team and supports the facility's power and cooling infrastructure, operational readiness and ongoing site projects, including fire extinguisher installations, PDC work, LLT/MOT preparation, BACOP testing and commissioning, whip installations and network rack power‑ups.
What You'll Be Doing
You will play a key role in maintaining the safety, reliability and uptime of the data center, including:
* Carrying out routine rounds and operational checks on electrical and mechanical systems such as UPS, switchgear, transformers, diesel generators, HVAC systems and VFDs.
* Troubleshooting incidents within agreed internal SLAs.
* Supervising contractors performing servicing and preventive maintenance.
* Supporting ongoing site project activity at during a period of increased workload.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
* Experience in data center engineering operations.
* 2+ years supporting data center environments.
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or related engineering. Knowledge of mechanical systems (HVAC, controls) or strong electrical competency and theory.
