We are experiencing a significant phase of growth through organic product development, M&A, and internationalisation. As part of this expansion, we are enhancing our Product team.
We seek a Product Owner passionate about improving the online client experience, eager to understand client needs and problems, and innovative in solutions. You will help shape our strategy to surpass client expectations and lead the market. Your role involves influencing the product roadmap, working closely with the Senior Product Owner, Product Manager, and our UX/UI team. You will also collaborate with our group-wide product colleagues to share best practices and foster ongoing knowledge and development.
The role includes:
1. Learning and understanding evolving client expectations, legislative requirements, technology, and product trends.
2. Defining goals and outcomes for development projects aligned with priorities set by your Senior Product Owner and Product Lead.
3. Engaging with stakeholders, including clients, internal teams, and developers, to ensure clarity of goals.
4. Proposing operational improvements based on feedback and insights.
5. Creating customer journey maps and acting as the primary contact between stakeholders and teams.
6. Developing comprehensive backlogs with MVP and subsequent items, considering risks.
7. Collaborating with business, engineering, and technical stakeholders to define solutions.
8. Balancing scope, budget, and time, prioritizing according to stakeholder needs.
9. Managing product and sprint backlogs, aligning with strategic and business objectives.
10. Overseeing sprint cycles and evaluating progress at each stage.
11. Conducting retrospectives, reviews, and sprint planning with Agile Coaches.
12. Gaining senior management approval for recommendations and addressing uncertainties.
13. Serving as the Subject Matter Expert and advocate for your product/area within the business.
14. Ensuring the product is fit for purpose, scalable, and available 24/7 globally.
15. Producing and presenting analytics on product KPIs.
16. Communicating clear briefs, functional documentation, and liaising with development teams.
What we are looking for:
1. At least 2 years of experience working in a Scrum team within a technology company.
2. Knowledge of Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
3. Client-focused approach.
4. Ability to prioritize and take ownership.
5. Experience in Requirements Definition and User Stories.
6. Strong Stakeholder Management skills.
