Supply Desk is working with a welcoming and forward-thinking primary school in Milton Keynes to appoint a dedicated Year 6 Teacher starting in January 2026. This is an excellent opportunity to join an established team mid-year and lead a class through the crucial final months of primary education, helping students grow in confidence and ability as they prepare for secondary school and end-of-key-stage assessments.
* Deliver engaging, high-quality lessons tailored to Key Stage 2 (with a focus on Year 6).
* Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment where every child feels supported and motivated.
* Plan and differentiate lessons to meet the diverse needs of learners.
* Track and assess pupil progress, using this to inform teaching and provide timely feedback.
* Prepare pupils for end-of-Key-Stage assessments (SATs), helping them achieve their best.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues on planning, assessment and curriculum development.
* Communicate effectively with parents and carers to support each child's development and well-being.
* Contribute to the wider school community and uphold the school's values and ethos.
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE or an equivalent teaching qualification.
* Recent experience teaching in Key Stage 2, preferably in Year 6.
* Confident in teaching the national curriculum and supporting pupils through SATs preparation.
* A flexible and proactive approach to teaching and learning.
* Strong behaviour management and organisational skills.
* Able to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and families.
* Committed to providing high standards of teaching and learning.
* Eligible to work in the UK and able to commute to Milton Keynes.
