Responsibilities:
* Work autonomously and collaboratively to deliver project tasks.
* Manage projects in accordance with Currie & Brown guidelines and the project management toolkit, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements.
* Plan and execute construction projects from conception to completion.
* Prepare or assist in preparing site assessments, due diligence reports, cost reports, project control group reports, construction reports, and completion reports.
* Manage internal and external stakeholders, including consultants and contractors.
* Oversee design development, coordination, reviews, and approvals during planning and construction phases.
* Handle procurement management, including reviewing trade tender packages.
* Appoint and manage contractors while maintaining probity standards.
* Administer contracts, evaluate progress claims, handle variations, extensions of time, and complete relevant documentation.
* Monitor and manage project completion activities such as commissioning, handover, take-over, and addressing defects.
* Develop project programmes and monitor progress against approved schedules.
* Control project costs in line with the approved budget.
* Track and report on project performance relative to the schedule.
* Coordinate with local authorities to ensure project compliance and authorization.
* Ensure adherence to occupational health and safety regulations.
* Implement and maintain a quality assurance system to ensure high standards in design, construction, and administration.
* Identify and pursue opportunities to enhance client satisfaction and strengthen client relationships.
Requirements:
* Degree in construction, engineering, architecture, or project management.
* At least seven years of experience working on defense projects.
* Proficiency in MS Office tools, including Word, Excel, and Project.
* Experience in advisory services such as risk management and workshop facilitation is desirable.
* Excellent communication skills and client-facing abilities.
