Key Responsibilities
* Deliver Core Curriculum – Plan and deliver lessons across English, Maths, and Science; ensure accessibility and engagement for all learners
* Differentiated Instruction – Adapt materials and plans to meet needs of individual students, particularly those with SEND, SEMH, ASD, and ADHD
* Behaviour Management & Emotional Support – Use positive reinforcement and restorative approaches to support emotional development
* Supporting Social and Emotional Development – Promote resilience, self-regulation, and social skills
* Safeguarding & Welfare – Ensure safety, well-being, and alignment with safeguarding policies
* Collaboration – Work with SENCOs and support staff to implement EHCPs and ILPs
Ideal Candidate Profile
* Passionate about supporting children's learning and development, especially those with SEND, SEMH, ASD, ADHD, and behavioural challenges
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to build positive relationships with students and colleagues
* Understanding of child development, behaviour management, and trauma-informed practices (training provided)
* Patient, empathetic, proactive, with a positive attitude toward overcoming classroom challenges
* Willingness to learn and adapt to different teaching methods to meet individual needs
* Hold (or be willing to obtain) an Enhanced DBS Certificate
A Typical Day as a Primary Teacher
Your day will involve planning and reviewing lessons based on student needs, delivering lessons across the curriculum with inclusivity for learners with additional needs, using varied teaching strategies, assessing progress, and collaborating with colleagues. You will plan for the next steps in students' educational development.
