We are part of Arup’s global network of 450 Architects, urban planners and landscape designers. We design data centres tailored to our client’s needs, with a focus on deployment on a global scale in line with the demand for data storage and increasing computational power. We are at the forefront of the industry, leading our clients through a global revolution in data storage facilities that prioritises sustainability, prefabrication, integration and future‑proof thinking.
The Opportunity
As a Senior Architect in our team, you will be part of the delivery of significant, technical and complex projects in the Science and Industry and Technology sectors, working as part of a large, multi‑disciplinary team to deliver innovative and sustainable ‘Total Architecture’ on an international scale. We are looking for talented designers who are ambitious and curious with excellent command of Revit and excellent personal, written and graphic communication skills.
Responsibilities
* Lead project teams working in a collaborative, multi‑disciplinary environment.
* Be responsible for the successful delivery of projects under the supervision of the Project Director.
* Participate in new business development activities.
* Lead design development, reviewing and presenting using drawings and virtual models.
* Collaborate with other disciplines to produce fully coordinated project information, including BIM models, drawings, schedules and specifications.
We’re Looking For a Candidate Who
* Is an Architect with post‑part 3 experience of the design and delivery of complex, highly technical projects working as part of a multi‑disciplinary team.
* Has very strong Revit skills.
* Can write and review specifications, with a proven track record.
* Has expertise through all stages of the design process from feasibility to handover, with recent design and construction experience in technically complex facilities.
* Has strong architectural detailing skills and in‑depth knowledge of the most common construction systems, products and materials.
* Has experience in client‑facing roles.
* Has experience in a site‑support role during construction.
* Is fluent in spoken and written English and has strong verbal, written and graphic communication skills.
