We are looking for a Category Manager to join our Commercial Planning team. You will be responsible for leveraging data & insights to drive long-term sustainable category growth across our product portfolio. Working alongside the Senior Category Manager and Commercial Planning Director you will actively determine and drive the category strategy at both global & regional level. Using your consumer driven approach and analytical skills, you’ll maximise category performance in terms of sales, profit & instore space productivity, driving the most appropriate retailer distribution, ranging, discontinuation, pricing and promotional decisions. You’ll be responsible for conducting regular analysis including range & space productivity, competitor, macro & micro market trends to help influence range build decisions & commercial strategies.
Using your understanding of category & market dynamics, you’ll own all pricing and promotional strategy for the relevant product category and will work with Product Managers to commercialise NPD, by managing the NPD Stagegate process.

What you’ll do:
* Gather and analyse any relevant data & insights (both internal sales/profit as well as external retail, category, market & consumer, such as IRI, Nielsen, Retailer adcard data, etc) to determine category, and consumer trends and assist the Category Director with the creation of strategy decks as needed
* Identify any white space opportunities in product ranges at both global & local level, capturing any key commercial opportunities for local markets & retailers
* Feed most appropriate requirements into the global NPD pipeline and the global launch calendar
* Work cross-functionally with Product, Brand, Marketing & Finance, manage the NPD commercialisation process through NPD Stagegate
* Work alongside Product, Marketing & Finance as part of the NPD Stagegate process, the Category Manager is responsible for building & presenting the global NPD P&L and strategy slides
* Conduct regular market & competitor analysis to determine the most appropriate pricing and promotional activities of the category
* Along with the Senior Category Manager and Commercial Planning Director, manage the global discontinuation strategy for the category
* Propose most appropriate intros & exits to the Global Planogram (GPOG) list/range, and support the local teams in maximising space productivity, improving sell-through and limiting returns, improving overall business profitability
* Work alongside the SNAMs and Trade Marketing teams, support with any key regional range & productivity reviews and make appropriate recommendations in line with the global category strategy and the Global Planogram (GPOG)
* Be the link between the local & global teams to optimise & adapt the global launch strategy according to local market & retailer needs
* Liaise with the brand & marketing teams to leverage amplification on key global launches and support with the adaption of the local brand calendar
* Support the local account managers with any category insights and adapting the global category strategy presentations as and when required
* Attend key retailer meetings, whether new business development or key range reviews/line review meetings
* Develop and build strong relationships across all key accounts and across all the Revolution teams
* Continually review process & make recommendations for improvements
What you’ have:
* A solid knowledge of category management, marketing and sales principles with experience in these functions
* FMCG experience with a beauty background highly preferred
* Excellent commercial awareness and a proven ability to deliver results
* Proven experience in fast paced environments
* Think consumer at all times
* Be highly numerate and able to read & present trade data clearly and accurately, and draw accurate conclusions & generate insights to support strategic decisions
* A thorough understanding of beauty category dynamics including competitive landscape
