PERMANENT / FULL TIME POSITION LDK is recruiting for a prestigious Architect Firm In Canterbury seeking an experienced Part II Architectural Assistant with great communication skills and experience working on large scale residential developments to work in their office in Canterbury. ABOUT OUR CLIENT: Our client is an award winning architectural practice with a broad range of master planning, heritage consultancy and architectural services across Residential, Heritage, Leisure, Hospitality and Education sectors in and around Kent and beyond. They have been established for over 90 years, with a talented team of over 50 people working from our studios in Canterbury and Harpenden. ROLE OVERVIEW: Our client is seeking a talented and motivated Architectural Assistant with a Part II qualification to join their team in Canterbury to contribute to their continued success within the residential sector. You should have experience of working on residential master planning projects and working as part of a team to deliver high quality projects. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Work as part of a team to deliver high quality projects. Take direction from the lead architect and develop drawings to form part of a package of suite for planning submissions. Work with Part I architectural assistants to ensure work is accurate and completed to deadlines. ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS: Some previous experience working in the residential sector Excellent design skills. Some knowledge of planning policies relating to residential development Excellent presentation skills. Experience working as part of a team. Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office applications and Adobe programmes such as InDesign and Photoshop (Sketchup and Revit experience are an advantage). DESIRABLE SKILLS: Ability to work in a collaborative and dynamic team. Experience of delivering RIBA Stage 0 through 3/4 projects for major house building clients.
