Head of Strategic Operations - Based in Oakham

5D are pleased to be working with an innovative tech startup based in Oakham. As a result of their continued growth, we are seeking an experienced and strategic leader to assume the role of Head of Strategic Operations.
This pivotal position involves overseeing the organisation’s long-term operational strategies, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives, and driving sustainable growth. The successful candidate will possess strong management and leadership skills, with a proven track record in strategic planning and operational excellence. This role offers an exciting opportunity to influence the organisation’s future direction and optimise operational efficiencies across multiple departments.
Duties:
* Develop, implement, and monitor organisational strategies to achieve long-term goals
* Lead cross-functional teams to ensure operational alignment with strategic objectives
* Analyse market trends and internal data to identify opportunities for growth and improvement
* Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and oversee their realisation across departments
* Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and high performance
* Collaborate with senior management to shape organisational policies and procedures
* Manage stakeholder relationships internally and externally to support strategic initiatives
* Oversee resource allocation, budgeting, and risk management related to strategic projects
* Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards
Experience:
* Extensive management experience at a senior level within a complex organisation
* Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams towards shared goals
* Demonstrable success in developing and executing organisational strategies
* Strong analytical skills with the capacity to interpret data for informed decision-making
* Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging diverse stakeholder groups
* Experience in change management programmes is highly desirable
* A recognised qualification in business administration, management, or related fields is preferred but not essential
