Sous Chef
Oxford
£35,006 per year
Monday to Friday,07:00 – 15:30
Occasional Saturdays, around 6 a year
We’re looking for a Sous Chef to join our kitchen team in Oxford. This role involves supporting the Head Chef with daily service, leading the brigade when required, and helping to deliver both high-volume meals and hospitality events.
The role will involve:
* Running the kitchen in the Head Chef’s absence
* Supervising and motivating the team of chefs
* Assisting with menu development and food presentation
* Taking responsibility for stock control, orders and deliveries
* Ensuring food safety, hygiene and allergen standards are met
* Helping to organise and deliver functions and special events
About you:
* Experienced chef with previous supervisory or management experience
* NVQ Level 2 in Food Production (or equivalent)
* Intermediate Food Hygiene (IOSH Managing Safely desirable)
* Confident leading a team in a busy kitchen
* Reliable, organised and focused on high standards
What we offer:
* £35,006 annual salary (£16.83 p/h)
* Overtime available at £25.25 p/h
* Monday to Friday, 07:00–15:30 (occasional weekend cover)
* A supportive team environment with room to progress
Additional information:
* Must be willing to take An Enhanced DBS check if succuesful as it is required for this role.
