Contract Manager (Municipal Waste)
Salary: Competitive plus bonus, company car/cash allowance, private medical cover and pension
Hours: Full time, Monday to Friday – 40 hours per week, plus one weekend in four

Responsibilities
* Lead the team to deliver municipal contracts in line with defined contract KPIs and specifications.
* Develop and maintain relations with key stakeholders; client, members, residents, staff, unions and internal partners.
* Manage resources (people, vehicles, equipment) to best effect prioritising the wellbeing of our people and service to our customer and communities.
* Act as TM1 and be responsible for implementing and maintaining compliance of all company policies and procedures including fleet compliance and any changes to regulatory standards and legislation within the TM1/TM2 role capacity.
* Ensure compliance against the Veolia standards, supporting assurance checks and improvement planning to enhance contract performance and customer service.
* Support and drive positive financial outcomes for the commercial portfolio by supporting and driving collaborative working.
* Ensure the safe delivery of a first‑time collection culture and all contractual performance KPI's.
* Ensure the commercial performance of the contract overseeing all expenditure, staffing and resources.
* Assess Service Delivery Managers and Chargehands competency including observing them carrying out their role (crew monitoring, PDR, team briefings).
* Set and present budgets.
* Manage monthly financial performance.
Qualifications – Essential
* Waste and fleet management experience.
* Data management and integration.
* Previous experience leading and developing a team within a senior operational role.
* Financial management experience, with the ability to set and present budgets.
* IOSH certification.
