Full Time. Home based with an expectation to attend the office in Heywood 1-2 times per week for team meetings.
The Team Manager will manage, motivate and support the day to day work of a well-established and experienced team of Senior Practitioners / Supervising Social Workers. You will help to develop our area across the Capstone North Region by building and maintaining good relations with local authorities to increase family matches and business opportunities. The Team Manager ensures that carers are informed of, and fully comply with, all standards, policies and guidance, including safer caring guidelines agreed by Capstone Foster Care. You will work in partnership with other team members to provide a high quality and safe service for our foster families and the children/young people they look after.
Responsibilities
* Manage, motivate and support the day-to-day work of a team of Senior Practitioners / Supervising Social Workers.
* Develop the Capstone North Region by building and maintaining good relationships with local authorities to increase family matches and business opportunities.
* Ensure carers are informed of and comply with all standards, policies and guidance, including safer caring guidelines.
* Work in partnership with other team members to provide a high quality and safe service for foster families and looked after children/young people.
Qualifications
* A relevant Social Work qualification and SWE registration.
* An up-to-date knowledge of the Children’s Act 1989.
* Operational knowledge of the National Minimum Standards for Fostering Services; Fostering Services Regulations 2011; The Care Standards Act 2000; and other relevant legislation.
* Ideally three years of experience in fostering-related social work and/or children’s social work; experience of assessing potential foster carers is essential.
* Supervisory experience is desirable; learning and development opportunities will be available.
* Full current driver's license and willingness to work unsociable hours when on duty and for placement-related needs.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to Capstone Foster Care’s continued development, working with senior management on an annual business plan and managing budgets to exceed targets.
