Onsite Engineer
Location: Barrow-in-Furness | Full-Time | 5 Days Onsite
Salary: Up to £36,000 + pension, healthcare opt, unlimited training budget
We are looking for an experienced Onsite Engineer to join a fast-paced End User Support environment, delivering technical support and project services across a secure enterprise setting.
This role is ideal for someone with strong desktop support and workplace engineering experience who enjoys working onsite, resolving technical issues, and delivering excellent customer service within a professional IT environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Complete assigned technical tasks within agreed timeframes
* Support internal and external project delivery activities
* Carry out operational and support tasks to SLA targets
* Provide high-quality onsite support to end users
* Troubleshoot hardware, software, and operating system issues
* Assist with desktop builds, deployments, and system configurations
Skills & Experience
* Strong understanding of Microsoft Windows environments (Windows 10/11)
* Experience supporting Microsoft Office applications
* SCCM knowledge including OS deployment, application deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting
* Understanding of PowerShell, VBScript, or batch scripting beneficial
* Knowledge of BitLocker, NTFS permissions, and endpoint security
* Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Exchange, and collaboration tools
* Experience using ITSM tools such as ServiceNow
* Excellent communication and customer-facing skills
Require ments
* Must be eligible for UK Security Clearance (SC)
* Applicants should have lived continuously in the UK for the last 5 years
* Successful candidates will complete standard pre-employment screening including DBS and employment checks
