We are seeking a dedicated Sous Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary expertise, and a passion for delivering exceptional food experiences. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will assist the Head Chef in managing daily operations, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and safety are maintained. Duties
Assist the Head Chef in planning and developing menus that align with the restaurants concept and customer preferences.
Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure consistency, presentation, and quality standards are met.
Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards across all kitchen operations.
Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service delivery and customer satisfaction.
Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock control to minimise waste.
Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and functioning efficiently.
Lead by example in fostering a positive team environment focused on collaboration and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in food production and preparation.
Demonstrable leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively.
Solid knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is highly desirable.
Competence in cooking techniques across various cuisines and styles.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
