About the Role
We’re looking for a warm, organised and enthusiastic individual to join our Sussex showroom team as a Showroom Sales Assistant. This integral part-time role is based in our beautiful countryside showroom and is perfect for someone who enjoys working in a client-facing role, is confident managing enquiries, and takes pride in creating a welcoming, inspiring retail environment.
You’ll be the first point of contact for many of our customers and will play a key role in ensuring a seamless, enjoyable experience — whether that’s helping someone choose fabric samples, following up with sales leads, or supporting a showroom event.
Key Responsibilities
* Customer Experience & Sales Support
* Manning the reception desk to welcome all visitors to the showroom and offer knowledgeable, friendly assistance
* Respond to sales & customer service enquiries via phone, email and in person
* Process and send fabric samples and follow up with leads
* Support customers with product, fabric, and layout advice (training provided)
* Maintain a detailed understanding of our collections and services
* Showroom Presentation & Administration
* Keep the showroom clean, well-presented and well stocked at all times
* Set up and close down the space each day to a high standard
* Ensure sample stock, brochures, and collateral are well organised and replenished
* Update internal systems (CRM) and record customer interactions accurately
* Cross-Team Collaboration
* Support the wider team with events, trade appointments and showroom activations
* Work alongside our customer service and logistics teams to support the customer journey
* Assist in preparing the showroom for photoshoots, launches or special visits
What We’re Looking For
* A genuine interest in interiors, furniture, or design-led retail
* A friendly, professional manner with excellent communication skills
* Strong attention to detail and a hands-on, proactive attitude
* Confidence using email, basic digital systems and taking phone enquiries
* Previous experience in a customer-facing role (retail or hospitality experience ideal)
Hours & Salary
Part-time: 3–4 days per week (must include Thursday to Saturday)
Based on-site at our Sussex showroom (no homeworking available for this role)
Permanent position with immediate start
Salary dependent on experience
