You will be working for one of the UK's leading telecommunications companies - in a role that is pivotal in ensuring that IT SOX is managed to the required governance standards. Your job will be to ensure that all IT Governance Controls are fit for purpose and changes to the control framework are delivered for the business. The role also oversees the delivery of all audit actions, and you will regularly coordinate with both stakeholders and auditors to ensure the client's IT is compliant. You will develop and advise on implementation of IT SOX controls, risk and deficiency mitigation planning and remediation. You will evaluate audit findings and coordinate remediation of deficiencies. Evaluate new processes, policies and systems to determine relevance to and impact on the Sarbanes Oxley Risk Framework, including the assessment, design and implementation of new controls based on identified risks. In the managers' own words, they need someone who has experience of working internal and external audits. A Sarbanes Oxley specialist who has experience of guiding a company through their SOx journey and can advise on all things SOx. They want someone who will also be a do-er and not just someone who wants to direct others as you will need to roll your sleeves up. You need to have experience in the IT side of compliance / governance rather than Finance, although if you have both that's fine. To be considered for this contract you will have both internal and external audit background with a strong focus on Sarbanes Oxley and IT-related internal controls with CISA, ACA, CPA or equivalent certification. You will have technical auditing skills, a solid understanding of SOX and internal control concepts (e.g. COSO, COBIT). You will have strong communication skills and be able to present internal control and risk matters in an understandable way across various forums and levels of the business with the right level of detail. Preference will be given to candidates from a Big 5 IT Audit background. If you are knowledgeable with Cloud IT or have any Telecoms Industry experience, this will be beneficial. This role will require hybrid working, and you should expect to be on site 2 days per week every week. Only candidates that have evidenced the required experience on their CV's can expect a response.
