Our public sector client are looking for a Exchequer Services Assistant to join them on a temporary basis.

Ideally 1-2 days in the office per week (Coalville)
Pay Rate - £13.29ph to £13.74ph
Job Purpose
To support the Exchequer Section in income collection, payments, payroll processing, and reconciliation services.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
* Ensure all income is accurately recorded, allocated, and reconciled.
* Assist with monthly reconciliations, including bank accounts, payroll, creditors, debtors, and control accounts.
* Support payroll preparation and monthly data input.
* Assist with the administration of sundry debtors and the e-purchasing system.
* Respond to internal and external queries relating to Exchequer Services.
* Provide cover and support during busy periods or staff absences.
* Participate in performance appraisal and development processes.
* Undertake additional duties and support other teams as required by management.
Experience Required
* Around 2 years’ experience in a payments, income, or financial administration environment.
* Essential experience in bank reconciliations and effective accounting reconciliations.
* Experience using financial systems.
* Experience processing supplier payments and reconciling high volumes of income.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (or equivalent)
