The University Hospitals of North Midlands is recruiting a Trainee Estates Team Leader (Engineering) trained to City & Guilds Craft Level or equivalent in electrical/mechanical engineering on a permanent basis.
You will be keen and enthusiastic, working with a skilled team to assist in the provision of a high level of service to a large acute hospital.
Key Responsibilities
* Enter a training program to acquire the skills, knowledge and experience required to lead a team, plan and allocate jobs, use CAFM systems, manage time and conduct staff appraisals/PDRs.
* Fulfil the job description and person specification of an Estates Team Leader.
* Provide effective support as a team worker to other managers and colleagues within the Estates Department.
* Dedicate 50 % of your time to assisting in the maintenance and repair of various engineering systems on the hospital site.
* Work at County Hospital (37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8 am to 4 pm) and be flexible to work at other UHNM sites or participate in an on‑call system.
Salary & Training
Candidates will earn up to £30,162 (band 4) during training. Upon successful completion the salary rises to £31,049, increasing to £37,796 (band 5) plus an R&R premium.
