Join to apply for the Lecturer in Food Academy role at TieTalent. Our Food Academy is looking for a full-time lecturer to join their team at the Watford Campus.
You should be trained and accomplished in hospitality with front of house and customer service skills, together with knowledge of food safety, health & safety, and nutrition. Experience in professional hospitality organisations and a passion for helping others learn new skills is important.
Responsibilities
* Teach front of house, food service, employability skills and food studies to students at Levels 1 to 3.
* Share industry experience from working in the catering/hospitality sector, with knowledge and experience in running a restaurant being essential.
* Provide prompt, detailed assessment of student work.
* Deliver personal tutoring including target setting and Functional Skills delivery (desirable).
* Manage the College Training Restaurant at lunchtimes and one evening per week during term time.
* Contribute to a dynamic teaching team and participate in training and development opportunities.
* Hold a current teaching qualification if possible; mentoring and training available for those without. Maintain qualifications in your discipline and evidence of continued professional development.
Qualifications and requirements
* At least 5 years of catering industry experience; knowledge of working in a restaurant is essential.
* Experience in teaching or mentoring is desirable; a teaching qualification is preferred but not mandatory if you can access training and mentoring.
* Clear evidence of continued professional development in your discipline.

* Full-time role at the Watford Campus.
