Person Specification:
* Has QTS with ECT's being encouraged to apply
* Dedicated, professional and passionately demonstrates their classroom talent;
* Holds a relevant teaching qualification and is an outstanding classroom practitioner.
* Demonstrates strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
* Has a deep passion for Geography and the ability to instil this enthusiasm in students.
* Is committed to professional development and can effectively manage the department to maintain high standards.
* Has experience in curriculum design, assessment, and departmental leadership.
* Has the energy to build on recent GCSE results and will help to drive forward our high-quality post-16 provision;
Key Responsibilities:
* To ensure high standards of teaching and learning.
* Develop and deliver a forward-thinking curriculum that inspires and challenges students.
* Support and mentor Geography teachers, fostering a culture of continuous professional development.
* Collaborate with senior leadership to drive school-wide strategies for academic success.
* Ensure the department achieves high academic outcomes and contributes to the overall success of the school.
* Oversee the planning and delivery of extracurricular activities related to Geography, such as field trips and clubs.
