Position
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Practice Educator / Charge Nurse based at Ballot Road.
Hours
* 36 hours per week
* The post holder will be expected to work Monday to Friday with a weekend commitment
* This post is offered on a 3 month secondment basis.
UK Driving Licence/Car Ownership
A UK car licence/car ownership is essential to this role.
What You Will Do
Working closely with the Clinical Team Leader (CTL) and the Senior Nurse for Community Nursing, the post holder will provide professional leadership, management and expert community nursing care advice to the Complex Packages of Care (Adult) Service. You must be able to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills and have the ability to work on your own initiative and as a lone worker working within a variety of settings within the community. You should be able to provide evidence or personal development and a willingness to undertake appropriate training.
Knowledge, Training And/or Experience Required To Do The Job
* 1 Level Registration – Adult Nursing with current NMC registration.
* Experience in primary care/community setting.
* Relevant post-registration qualification at post graduate diploma level or equivalent experience.
* Experience in a role that supports practice learning.
* Current knowledge of Leg ulcer management ideally with professional qualification.
* Experience in and commitment to teaching and facilitation of learning in clinical practice.
* Evidence of continuing professional development.
* Communication and interpersonal skills to include presentation, influencing, negotiation and report writing.
* IT skills.
