We are currently looking for a CNC Machinist to join our team working for a better future.
The preferred location for this position is Havant, UK.
What you will be doing
* Drive improvements as part of our continuous improvement culture
* Work safely in accordance with the company's Health and Safety policy
* Maintain a clean and organized working area following 5S principles
* Ensure quality standards are met and follow processes accordingly
* Complete tasks within set process times to meet deadlines
* Remain flexible and willing to move onto other disciplines within your skill set when needed
* Assist with skills flex training and cross-training of others
Qualifications and experience
* GCSE/O Level or equivalent
* Apprentice trained
* Minimum 5 years of engineering experience within manufacturing, including CNC machining
* Experience with milling and turning preferred
* Lean CI experience (e.g., 8 wastes), safety, and 5S work ethic
* Proficient in Microsoft Office
* Experience in an engineering environment
* Previous experience setting/operating Mazak machines
* Ability to read engineering drawings and CNC code (ISO/G code, Mazatrol)
* Offline programming experience with Edgecam, Mastercam, or Mazatrol is advantageous
* Understanding of turning and milling techniques
* Strong problem-solving skills
* Good communication skills, both written and verbal
* Hands-on approach and a strong work ethic
