As a part-time Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for the day-to-day accounting and finance requirements, ensuring that the Companys financials and documentation are accurately maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
Raise customer invoices.
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
Reconcile bank statements.
Prepare monthly financial statements, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
Prepare VAT returns and upload to HMRC, reconciling returns to the balance sheet, ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations.
Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders regarding financial matters.
Manage payroll.
Provide support to the external accountants for year-end filing, audits and financial reviews.
Assist in preparation of budgets and forecasts.
Key Requirements:
Proven experience as a bookkeeper or Junior Accountant, having trained or worked under the supervision of an Accountant.
Experience using Sage accounting software.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Possess strong IT skills, ideally with some familiarity with CRM software.
Work collaboratively as part of a team.
Education:
Maths and English (Grade 5 /C above)
Experience:
Minimum AAT Level 2 qualification.
Minimum 2 Years Accounting.
Minimum 2 Years bookkeeping.
